LES students and grandparents danced, crafted and posed for photos tonight (3.1.19) at the second annual Grandparents’ Night at the elementary school.
The Lakeland Elementary School (LES) PTA sponsored the event which included a dance lesson in the gym, craft-making in the cafeteria and a photo booth in the hallway. The evening was capped with a healthy snack of fruit salsa and graham crackers.
For those students with faraway grandparents, members at the Lakeland Senior Center stepped in to be surrogate grands for the evening. Those participating included Barbara and Larry Taylor, Nancy and Phillip Odom, Marilyn Piccatto, Kim Odom, Lisa Cook, Harold Ricketts, and Connie Williams.
