The first of five free LAMP concerts is this Saturday (6.1.19) at the IH Park outdoor amphitheater, 4523 Canada Rd.

Presented by Sprouts Farmers Market, the concert starts earlier this year — 6:30 p.m. — and runs to 9:30 p.m.

The popular nine-piece band Memphis Funk-N-Horns will kick-off Lakeland’s 4th concert season. The cover band performs a high-quality and wide variety of oldies from the 70s, 80s, 90s and current tunes, according to Kim Odom, special events coordinator for the City of Lakeland.

“There will be lots of fun in a family-friendly atmosphere, including games for the kids, inflatables, Mr. Mike the Balloon Man and more,” said Mrs. Odom.   Food trucks will be Chow Dog & Things along with Polar Tropical.

The Lakeland Parks & Rec Department will host its own Snack Bar on the deck of IH Clubhouse. Various vendors will be on hand and some will have goodies to give away, said Mrs. Odom.

“Come on out for a wonderful evening of entertainment at the LAMP. Thanks to Lakeland Parks and Recreation sponsors 901Heroes.com, Cannon Chiropractic, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
