Four LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) students placed in the Briarcrest Regional Art Contest including first and second place in the 8th grade division, according to Jared Parham, visual art teacher at LMPS.
The awards ceremony was Monday (10.7.19) at Briarcrest Christian School in Eads.
Mr. Parham said each student competed within their grade level for prizes, with schools only allowed two pieces per grade level.
8th Grade Division
Emma Tran – 1st place – $100 award
Yami Barbosa – 2nd place – $75 award
5th Grade Division
Ella Hawkins – 3rd place, 5th grade division – $50 award
6th Grade Division
Maddie McDaniel – 4th place, 6th grade division – $25 award
