A sizable crowd gathered at the Lakeland Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon to hear Andy Wise, a well-known figure in the Memphis area, speak at the Lakeland Chamber’s monthly luncheon. Wise, the founder of “Andy Wise – Wise Choices” and former investigative reporter for Action News 5, was the event’s special guest.
Wise’s presentation focused on the critical issue of online reviews, particularly the challenges of distinguishing genuine feedback from fake reviews. He emphasized the importance for small business owners to be vigilant in identifying and addressing fraudulent reviews, which can harm their reputation. Wise also shared strategies for engaging with customers to encourage authentic feedback and build a positive online presence.
Since leaving Action News 5 over seven years ago, Wise has successfully grown his business, continuing to offer consumer advocacy and endorsements through his platform. Attendees were encouraged to follow his endorsements and updates online.
The luncheon, sponsored by OrthoSouth, featured a Spotlight Table hosted by Bryan Realty Group. The event’s culinary offerings were provided by Ain’t It the Life Catering, earning high praise from attendees.
