Last weekend the LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) Competitive Cheer Team received a bid to the February national competition in Orlando, according to Kimber Rahm, LMPS cheer sponsor and physical educator.

The team competed Saturday (10.26.19) at the UCA (Universal Cheer Association) Regional Cheer competition in Southaven.  “The team won 2nd place in the junior high non-tumbling division,” said Mrs. Rahm.  “They also received a bid to the national competition in Orlando, Florida in February.  This will be the first year that the LMPS Cheer team will compete at the national level.

“The team and coaches are thankful for the support of our families, friends, school and community as they begin this new adventure of planning and preparing for the honor of competing at the UCA National Competition.”

The Lakeland Cheer Boosters has organized a fundraiser to help with travel, accommodations and other expenses to go to Nationals.  Link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/lmps-lakeland-cheer-boosters
