For the eighth consecutive year Lakeland will be having a Fall Lakeland Yard Sale on October 15, 2022. This time over forty homes are scheduled to participate. In previous years between 100 and 200 homes have held garage sales in the Fall and Spring. This year between 75 and 100 are expected to participate. The weather forecast looks good Friday pm with comfortable temperatures coming in and some chances of rain Saturday later morning according to Weather Underground and NOAA. There is no rain check date.
Participants who are selling are responsible for getting out any signage and having it removed by Monday. Some people will start selling Friday morning and continue Saturday morning. Most participants stop by 2pm Saturday afternoon since the big rush of buyers comes by 10am Saturday morning. In this case that is probably best with rain chances increasing as the day continues.
In previous years most participants have been happy with the results, often having a combined effort of houses or higher visibility from the street and signage leading drivers to the home address helping boost traffic. Setting up prior to 7am is also highly recommended as the customers are already looking by 7am.
