Early voting started yesterday, July 15th for the Shelby County General Election, State/Federal Primary, Town of Arlington, and Memphis Special, according to the Shelby County Election Commission (SCEC). The last day for early voting is Saturday, July 30th.
Lakeland has a new location for early voting. It is at Christian Life Church Memphis located at 9375 Davies Plantation Road. Hours are July 15th through July 30th, Monday – Friday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; Saturdays July 16th and 23rd 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and July 30th 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. While the City of Lakeland does not have positions on this early primary ballot, there are numerous Shelby County positions: Mayor, County Commissioners, Judges, Sherriff, Assessor and more. The State of Tennessee positions include Governor, as well as Senate and House openings. A full list can be seen HERE.
The November 8 election will include Lakeland candidates for Mayor, Commissioner (vote for 2) and School Board (vote for 3).
