Consider local to-go in Lakeland this Sunday for special Easter meal

As the COVID-19 “Safer at Home” directive continues locally and nationwide, Lakeland Commissioner Michele suggests you consider a Lakeland restaurant for your to-go Easter menu.

“If you are tired of cooking, Cracker Barrel is offering a wonderful, traditional Easter dinner. It includes a spiral-sliced sugar-cured ham, hashbrown casserole, choice of three-quart-size sides (many selections), rolls, butter and two buttermilk pies to serve 10 for $124.99. The meal comes chilled and ready to heat.”

Commissioner Dial adds, “If this is too much food for your family, not the food your family enjoys, or you don’t want leftovers, check out their lunch and dinner meals: Sunday homestyle chicken, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, and chopped steak, among the selections. All come with a choice of bread and three sides, serve six and are priced from $56.99 – $64.99.”

For brunch ideas, she said there are many choices under the breakfast tab:  pancakes, casseroles, biscuits and gravy, as well as breakfast bowls and sides. These serve six and range from $9.99 – $49.99.

A week ago, Commissioner Dial said she was coordinating a list of Lakeland eateries so those in Lakeland could support their local restaurants during the pandemic.

“To continue the safe ordering and receiving of meals from our local restaurants, order and pay online to avoid money changing hands and get curbside delivery.

“Let’s all continue to support our local Lakeland restaurants and give ourselves a break in the kitchen as well! The Cracker Barrel manager, Chris, is so excited to be able to prepare the meals and serve Lakeland!”
