On April 27 the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce will have its First Annual Sporting Clays Tournament at the Memphis Sports Shooting Association (MSSA) located at 9428 Old Brownsville Rd in Lakeland.
Lunch is included and will begin at 11:30 a.m. Shooting will begin at 1 p.m. and will last until approximately 3 p.m.
The cost for Lakeland Chamber members is $80 per person. The cost for non-Lakeland Chamber members is $100 per person. Each person will shoot 100 rounds at clay pigeons at 12 different shooting stations. A sporting clays course is best described as “golf with a shotgun”. MSSA requires that all shotgun shells be purchased at the MSSA clubhouse.
