Lakeland Currents has learned that Club Windward is under contract. The event venue, located at 3740 Canada Road, has been host to weddings, parties, receptions, meetings and even office space rental through the years.
The property boasts a swimming pool and even dilapidated tennis courts that have long needed some TLC. A For Sale sign has been on the property off and on in recent years, but it appears to finally be transitioning to a new owner.
According to Commissioner Wesley Wright, the name of the new owner will be released shortly. Commissioner Wright has confirmed that at least part of the new owner’s plans includes a restaurant. More information is expected next week.
