A catering venue in Lakeland, Club Windward, today (3.31.20) is offering “In Times of Need … Let Us Feed,” a free meal program to families in need.
Georgia Smith, proprietor at Club Windward along with her husband Pat, said there is not a lot they can do during the COVID-19 crisis, except one thing, feed people.
“For the next few weeks, we will offer 50 meals to families in need, free of charge,” she said.

“We’re all in this together. For our friends who have been laid off due to the Corona virus, contact us and reserve your free meal from Club Windward Catering. Each meal will be four servings. It will be done on the honor system,” said Mrs. Smith.

Club Windward is a catering and reception venue in Lakeland. With approximately 8,000 square feet of transformable space, the facility can accommodate up to 225 guests for events such as wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, award banquets, corporate events and birthday parties.
