A public meeting and hearing has been scheduled by the BOC (Board of Commissioners) for 6 p.m. Nov. 12 at City Hall and the IDB (Industrial Development Board) at 5:30 p.m. the same afternoon.
The BOC will meet in business session and for Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8. There will not be a previously announced Nov. 1 BOC meeting.
The purpose of the public meetings Nov. 12 for both groups is approval and submission of an economic impact plan for The Lakeland Commons Planned Development at the southwest corner of U.S. Highway 70 and Seed Tick Road.
The plan includes a request for TIF (Tax Increment Financing).
This is approximately 40 acres of mixed use development.
