Freddie Mills, 37, has been identified as the man found shot Friday night (1.25.19) on Memphis Arlington Road, according to Lt. Anthony Buckner with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).
The body was found in a driveway at 9427 Memphis Arlington Road which is the address listed for Greater Bush Grove M B Church in Lakeland.
Lt. Buckner said the hometown of the victim is unknown and the investigation is continuing as to whether the victim was shot near the church or elsewhere.
The victim was found shortly after 11 p.m., according to the SCSO, and pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators are asking for anyone with information about this homicide to call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
