The BOA/SWBOA (Board of Appeals/Stormwater Board of Appeals) meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. today (3.18.19) has been cancelled, according to Debra Murrell, CMC, city recorder and community development specialist.
Mrs. Murrell said the applicant requested withdrawal of the application for a conditional use permit application for the northwest corner of Canada Road and Saskatoon Drive known as Canada Woods Subdivision.
The following email message was received from Brenda Solomito Basar with Solomito Land Planning:
“Good morning all,
Please allow this email to serve as our official request to withdraw the application for CUP in the Canada Woods Subdivision.
Thank you all for your time and efforts.”
Mrs. Basar spoke to a roomful of Lakeland citizens Thursday night (3.14.19) at City Hall to share information about a proposal to put a convenience store, fuel pumps and a car wash at the Canada Road location. The citizens voiced their disapproval of the plan during the meeting citing many negatives of the project.
The project was to come before the BOA tonight at their regular monthly meeting.
