A new destination for cigar enthusiasts and cocktail lovers has arrived in Lakeland with the opening of Blue Flame Cigar & Bar Lounge. Located next to Howard’s Donuts on Highway 64 in Suites 102 and 103, the lounge offers a full selection of premium cigars alongside a complete bar, creating what its owners call an “upscale and inviting” experience.
Josh Arnold, co-owner of Blue Flame alongside his wife, Keytonia, described the lounge as more than just a business. “We are not just a logo. It’s a brand. It’s a way of life,” Arnold told Lakeland Currents.
The Blue Flame name may sound familiar to local residents — the business was originally slated to open in The Lake District and even had signage posted there. However, due to unforeseen challenges, the Arnolds decided to pursue another option. An opportunity arose to purchase an existing cigar lounge from Robb Hunter, owner of Havana Mix in downtown Memphis, they seized it — transforming the space into the newly minted Blue Flame Cigar & Bar Lounge.
For Arnold, the venture is deeply rooted in passion. “I feel like Memphis needs more of an upscale experience when it comes to cigar lounges,” he said. “I want people to just relax as soon as they walk in.” The goal, according to Arnold, is to create a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere where cigar lovers can celebrate, unwind, and connect.
Arnold also noted a growing and diverse cigar-smoking community, including a rising number of female patrons — a demographic shift that often surprises people.
Blue Flame Cigar & Bar Lounge is now open daily, inviting the Lakeland community to experience its unique blend of luxury, relaxation, and camaraderie.
