Ice Cream Social
Aug. 9 – 11:30 a.m. – Rec Room of IH Clubhouse. Come enjoy a cold treat, billiards and music on the jukebox. RSVP.

Elvis Week: Pizza Party and Music
Aug. 15 – noon – IH Clubhouse. Put on your blue suede shoes and gather with friends to celebrate Elvis Week with a Pizza Party and Elvis music and others from his era.  Music performed by Gary Hardy and provided by Creative Aging. Win a prize for best-dressed Elvis costume or 60s apparel. Bring your Elvis memorabilia and share your favorite Elvis stories. MUST RSVP.

Jewelry Making for Beginners
Aug. 28 – 10 a.m. You will purchase your own supplies for this class. Supplies needed for class will be provided when you register. Limit is 8 per class. RSVP.

Historic Talk by Jimmy Ogle
Aug. 29 – 10 a.m.  Bring a friend and come hear about the history of Bartlett.   Seating is limited. Please register with Mrs. Odom.

Acrylic Pouring Art Class
Aug. 31 – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Come learn techniques to acrylic pouring. Limited to 8 per class. Supplies needed, call for details and RSVP.

Note: The Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group meeting scheduled for Aug. 2 has been cancelled.

The City of Lakeland welcomes all area seniors 55+ to the LSC, located on the grounds of IH Park. The goal is to meet the social, recreational and educational needs of senior residents in the community in an environment that is fun, safe, inclusive and courteous for all.

The LSC, 4527 Canada Road, is open Monday-Friday – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and other scheduled times.
