As is tradition, both schools in the Lakeland School System (LSS) will honor veterans with programs at their respective campuses this week.

There will be two programs at LES (Lakeland Elementary School) Thursday (11.8.18): 9:30 a.m. for grades 2-4; and 11:30 a.m. for grades PK-1, according to Kristen Nichols, program chair and second grade teacher.
“Our theme this year is ’Forever Remembered’ and we will honor our special heroes,” said Mrs. Nichols. “We will be featuring our GLEE Club under the new direction of Dianne Davis and our little ones will be singing a new song under the direction of our newest music teacher, Robin Smith.
“We will also have our LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) Band and Strings play for us during the programs.”
