Lakeland Prep is proud to recognize Ann Sophie Grandchamp as this week’s Athlete of the Week. A standout 9th grader, Ann Sophie has been making waves on the soccer field in her role as a Central Defensive Midfielder (CDM), proving herself as a vital part of the team.
As a CDM, Ann Sophie plays a critical role, bridging the defense and offense. Known for her technical skill and creativity, she can beat opposing players with ease while maintaining control in the game’s most congested areas. Her ability to receive and pass the ball under pressure has been key to Lakeland Prep’s success this season.
Despite being a freshman, Ann Sophie has stepped into her new position with confidence. She continues to refine her skills and adapt to the high school style of play, setting an example for her teammates and proving to be an exciting player to watch in the seasons ahead.
