Look for a new trash schedule map in your snail mail next week.
Lakeland is changing trash service providers April 1st from Republic Services to Team Waste.
Emily Harrell, city engineer, said the first map provided to residents was hard to read. “The trash pick-up map that was distributed was hard to read and still had “Draft” on it,” said Mrs. Harrell.
“A new trash schedule map will be mailed to all residents next week to replace the one that was attached to the cart. The map distributed with the cart, although labeled draft, is accurate but difficult to distinguish between some colors.”

Republic will pick-up all old, existing trash and recycle containers through March 29th Leave all current carts at the curb for pickup by Republic.
Carts will be replaced with Team Waste containers branded with the City name and logo.
Team Waste will service ALL carts on the same day, once a week, Monday-Friday.
