Three Lakeland students have earned scholarships this spring and a fourth maxed his score on the ACT test.
Chase Gasko, son of Deborah and Bob Gasko of Lakeland, has been accepted into the Eastman School of Music for a master’s degree in trombone performance along with a scholarship. He graduates in May from the University of Miami where he studied music performance at the Frost School of Music on full scholarship. He went to Arlington High School.
Spencer Jenkins, senior at Christian Brothers High School (CBHS) and son of Amy Jenkins of Lakeland, has signed a letter of intent to play golf at the University of Central Arkansas and will receive a Division 1 golf scholarship. Mrs. Jenkins said he has practiced daily at Stonebridge Golf Club since he was 13-years-old.
James Pearce, son of Dr. David and Terri Pearce of Lakeland, is also a senior at CBHS and has received a soccer scholarship at the University of Evansville.
Keegan Fong, a junior at Arlington High School, made a 36 on the ACT, a perfect score. He is the son of Ume and Brian Fong of Lakeland.
