It’s countdown to opening night for “Willy Wonka Jr.”
The musical will be presented by the LMPS (Lakeland Middle Preparatory School) Drama Club in three performances starting April 5th in the school Cafetorium.
Roald Dahl’s timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir is a golden ticket to adventure.

“Come see the mysterious candy manufacturer, Willy Wonka (played by Hannah Ivy), as he stages a contest by hiding a golden ticket into five of his delicious candy bars,” said Mrs. Christopher.
“The lucky people who discover these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of chocolate.
“As it turns out, four of the five golden ticket winners are unbearable to be around, but the fifth golden ticket winner is a very likeable young boy (played by Toby Harrell), who takes the tour along with his grandfather.
“The children learn they must follow the rules in the factory, or suffer the consequences.”
Concessions will be sold by the Drama Club Boosters Club and include popcorn, chips, cotton candy, drinks, candy bars and Sonic Drive-In cheeseburgers and sweet tea donated by the restaurant.
