Prep Marching Band Kicks Off Annual Band Camp Ahead of 2026 Season

The Lakeland Prep marching band hard at work on the Prep campus this summer.

The Lakeland Preparatory School marching band is hard at work preparing for the upcoming 2026 marching season as students participate in the program’s annual two-week band camp.

The camp, which began Monday, July 13, and continues through July 24, provides intensive daily instruction in music performance, marching fundamentals, choreography, and drill design. Throughout the two weeks, students are learning and refining this year’s halftime production, titled “The Pride.”

Band camp serves as the foundation for the marching season, allowing students to build musical and visual performance skills while developing the coordination and teamwork required for competitions and football game performances throughout the fall.

The community will have an opportunity to see the band’s progress during its annual preview performance on Friday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lakeland Preparatory School stadium. The free event will showcase the 2026 production before the band officially begins its fall performance and competition schedule.

School officials encourage family members, friends, and community residents to attend the preview and support the students as they launch another marching band season.
