Excitement is building across Lakeland School System as preparations are underway for one of the community’s most cherished traditions—the Class of 2026 Senior Walk.

Organizers are inviting families to take part in making this year’s event especially memorable by contributing a meaningful piece of each graduate’s journey. Parents and guardians are encouraged to submit two photos for their student: one from kindergarten and one from their senior year. Displayed side by side, these images will offer a heartfelt glimpse into how far each student has come, celebrating years of growth, perseverance, and accomplishment.

Photo submissions should be physical copies in 4×6 or 5×7 format. Families can drop them off at Lakeland Preparatory School with Coach Welch or at Lakeland Elementary School with Mrs. Filsinger. All photos must be submitted by May 4 and will be carefully returned following the Senior Walk on May 7.

A longtime favorite in the community, the Senior Walk represents a full-circle moment for Lakeland students—bringing them back to where their educational journey began while celebrating the bright futures ahead. Families who have not yet registered are still encouraged to participate and be part of this meaningful tradition.
