Veterans Day Programs for LSS in November

Lakeland School System (LSS) schools will observe Veterans Day with special programs in November at LES and LMPS.

The annual programs at LES (Lakeland Elementary School) will be Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m. for grades 2-4 and 11:30 a.m. for grades PK, K and 1^st grade. The theme is “More Than Just a Name” with performances by the Lakeland Middle Preparatory School (LMPS) Band and String Ensemble.

At LMPS, the annual program will be at 9 a.m. Nov. 7^th.  There will be an Honor Wall of photos at the school to recognize friends or family members who are serving or have served their Country in the military. Students are asked to wear patriotic colors that day by grade: 5^th – red, 6^th – white and 7^th/8^th – blue.
