LES student gives, not receives, for his 7th birthday

(Editor’s note: Brenner celebrated his 7th birthday last week, and not his 6th as originally reported.  This is the third year for him to “give” instead of receive birthday gifts, according to his mother.)

Brenner Brown had so much fun “giving back” for his 5th and 6th birthdays, he decided to repeat the generosity this year.

The LES (Lakeland Elementary School) student celebrated his Sept.11th  birthday Friday (9.13.19) and instead of gifts for himself, he asked for donations to purchase recycle cans for the City of Lakeland.

His mother, Kembree Darakshani, said, “Once again he has asked for donations for recycle garbage cans for the City, the two at IH park and hopefully two more at City Hall fields.  He was in the Go Green Club last year in kindergarten at LES and would love to expand to get more recycling at the elementary school as well.”

A year ago he celebrated his birthday by asking for donations to purchase recycling cans which were delivered to IH Park.
