2019 LAMP season closes with Lakeland Homecoming and hundreds in attendance

Cheer and football team members from Lakeland City Leagues were part of the LAMP Concert/Homecoming Saturday night at IH Park

Hundreds came to the final-of-the-season free LAMP concert last night (9.28.19) at the IH Park Amphitheater with a “Fall” temperature of 90° which eventually “cooled” to the mid-80s.

Festivities started at 6 p.m. as Lakeland City Manager Shane Horn announced cheer and football teams from City leagues and Lakeland Middle Preparatory School (LMPS). Students entered the amphitheater through a Lakeland Lions- blue and white balloon arch.  The list of teams to be recognized included City Rec Cheer, City Competitive Cheer, 5-6 Flag Football, 7-9 Flag Football, City Tackle Football, LMPS Cheer and LMPS Football.

Live music with Jerry Patton started at 6:30 p.m. for the family-friendly event with entertainment for all ages.

Food trucks were Central BBQ, Eat at Eric’s and MEMPOPS.

For more information about the LAMP, contact Lakeland City Hall 867-2717 or check the City Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/LakelandTN.   The summer concert series started in 2016.
