The excitement was buzzing for the 1st football homecoming at the new LMPS fields on Thursday night (9/20/18). Although both the JV and Varsity teams lost, they fought hard and got better.
Athletic Director Chris Godwin said, “Unbelievable support from the community of Lakeland tonight at the LMPS football game! It was so awesome to see all the people at the game!”.
The Varsity team played Houston at 6:00 and the JV team played Riverdale at 7:30. During halftime of the Varsity game, the Spirit Court winners were announced and presented on the field. The Spirit Court is comprised of 1 female and 1 male representative from each grade, voted on by their respective classes.
