A fire this afternoon (4.27.19) destroyed a boat and dock on Garner Lake, according to neighbors.
For about 45 minutes the fire was fought with a garden house. Brent Perkins, public information officer with the Shelby County Fire Department, said firefighters used a preconnect line from the engine.
Neighbors said the boat owners live in East Shores.
