The Lady Lions Volleyball team played in the Region 7 Middle School Volleyball Tournament this past weekend. The Varsity team went in as the 2nd seed and the JV team went in as the 3rd seed. The tournament took place over 2 days beginning Friday night at Elmore Park Middle School and continuing Saturday morning at Bartlett High School. Teams participating in the tournament were Appling, Arlington, Bon Lin, Collierville, Collierville West, Elmore Park, Houston, Lakeland, Millington and Riverdale. Both Teams ultimately lost to Houston Middle School, the number 1 seed.
Congratulations to these amazing young ladies and their coaches, Katy Betts and Lauren Cocroft, for an amazing season. Kurt Wagner, parent of one of the players said, “What a great season we’ve had…so proud of everyone!”
The Varsity team advances to the Sectionals Tournament this Thursday, October 4th to play against the top Shelby County team.
