It’s bargain-hunting weekend in Lakeland with many residents participating in the Lakeland fall yard sale (10.4/5.19) coordinated by Commissioner Wesley Wright and the Nextdoor app.
The weather is “fall-ish” and Commissioner Wright says there are 50 homes participating in this semi-annual event throughout the City. Typically Commissioner Wright posts surveys on Nextdoor in the spring and the fall for a citizen vote, determining dates for yard sales during those seasons.

“It’s that time again. Our FALL Yard Sale is upon us and I wanted to get the word out. At this time we have 50 homes in the Lakeland Yard sale, a vast majority of them in city limits.
“The weather forecast looks good with cooler temps coming in (YES!!), no rain. There is no rain check date.
“Remember if you are selling you are responsible for getting out any signage and having it removed by Monday. Some people will start selling today and continue Saturday morning. Most participants stop by 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon since the big rush of buyers comes by 10 a.m. Saturday,” said Commissioner Wright.
