Annual Children’s Fishing Rodeo set for May

Reel in fish and prizes at the City of Lakeland’s annual Fishing Rodeo at 8 a.m. May 19 at the IH Park Lake, 4523 Canada Rd.  There is no cost for the event.

Pre-register to avoid the long line for on-site registration.

Bring your pole and bait and join us at the Fishing Rodeo for children ages 4-12, accompanied by an adult.

On-site registration starts at 7:15 a.m. and runs through 7:55 a.m. Registration forms are available at City Hall, 10001 U.S. Highway 70 or online at www.LakelandTN.gov/events. Signed forms can be sent by email to kodom@lakelandtn.org.

The rodeo includes seven, 15-minute sessions. Winners will collect a prize at every session. Trophies will also be given out for the longest fish, most fish caught – boy, and most fish caught – girl. There will be lots of prize giveaways!!
