September evenings in Tennessee can offer a welcome transition between the heat of summer and the arrival of fall, and Lakeland residents will have an opportunity to spend one of those evenings outdoors with live music, food, and a celebration of the community’s recreation programs.
The City of Lakeland is preparing for its September LAMP Concert on Saturday, September 26, at IH Managerial Park. The free event is scheduled to run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will feature Memphis band Almost Famous along with Lakeland Parks & Recreation Homecoming Night.
Residents can bring lawn chairs and blankets and settle in for an evening designed around live music and community gathering. Food trucks will also be available during the event.
The September concert is part of Lakeland’s LAMP concert series, one of several special events organized through the city’s Parks & Recreation Department. According to the city, the LAMP Concert Series brings live music to IH Park and is offered free to the public.[1]
Almost Famous Takes the Stage
Live music will be at the center of the September event, with Almost Famous scheduled to perform throughout the evening.
The Memphis-based group is known for energetic performances and a varied song selection intended to keep audiences engaged and dancing.
