Fire consumed a home in Stonebridge this afternoon (4.10.19) but there were no civilian or firefighter injuries, according to Brent Perkins, public information officer for the Shelby County Fire Department (SCFD).

Mr. Perkins said there were multiple calls at the same time about the fire about 2:13 this afternoon with the Shelby County Fire Department (SCFD) Engine 65 in Lakeland responding in six minutes.

The address is 9574 El Hill Rd off Davies Plantation Road. The owner was not home at the time.

The fire was 75% involved and through the roof, he said, when firefighters arrived.   A cause has not been determined nor the area of the house where the fire started.

“There were no injuries, civilian or firefighters.  No one was hurt,” he said.

Mr. Perkins said there were 30 firefighters from three different departments and five engine companies.  SCFD worked in concert with Arlington Fire Department and Memphis Fire Department, he said.

There were reports a St. Bernard dog was inside the house but there was no dog inside, he said.
