This week, Commissioner of Education Candice McQueen will be visiting Lakeland Middle Preparatory School to see the impressive new school and tour the facility. This will continue her Classroom Chronicles tour she is making throughout the state of Tennessee.
Dr. McQueen will visit with LMPS staff and Lakeland Superintendent Dr. Ted Horrell to learn more about the school and the Lakeland school system. She will receive a tour of the new school from the presidents for each grade. Student body elections were held two weeks ago to elect the council.
Dr. McQueen will be available to the media at the conclusion of the tour.
