Halloween Festival Attracts Scores for Annual Event

Hundreds of children, parents and grandparents filled the IH Club House for the annual City Halloween Festival yesterday (10.22.17).

The threat of early afternoon rain did not deter crowds from filling the venue for pumpkin painting, candy-collecting and costume contests.

Seventeen National Honor Society students from Arlington High School were on hand to help with all the events along as well as sponsors including the Lakeland Lions Club and Trustmark Bank.

National Honor Society students from Arlington High School volunteered their time to help at the Festival.

Activities included Trick-or-treating among vendors, face painting, photos with the Redbird, pumpkin picking and Mr. Mike the Balloon Man.

The free festivities were sponsored by the Lakeland Parks and Recreation Department and coordinated by Kim Odom on the City staff along with Sue Lipscomb.
