John Wilkerson, Lakeland commissioner from 1997-99, died Tuesday and funeral services will be Tuesday (2.6.18).
The 93-year-old was a founding member and officer of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Republican State Executive Committee, District 32 and the Shelby County Republic Steering Committee. He ran for a commissioner post in 2013.
